Connectivity Problems

If AIRA is not reliably connecting to AIRA Server, perform the following:

 

  1. Try and connect to the AIRA Server using AIRA Explorer on the server PC itself. If this works, it is likely a networking or Firewall issue.

  2. Make sure all Services are properly running on the AIRA Server.  

  3. Try and ping the server using the ping command. If it does not respond, you have may have a networking issue.

  4. If you have a Firewall on your client PC, disable it, and restart your PC without the Firewall enabled. If this solves the problem, you need to configure your Firewall properly (see Firewall configuration). Sometimes disabling the Firewall is not enough (unless you are using Windows Firewall). Try and uninstall the Firewall to restore connectivity.

  5. If this does not solve the problem, disable or uninstall the Firewall (if any) on your Server.

  6. If any antivirus software is installed, uninstall it. AIRA does not support antivirus software installed on the server PC.
