VE140 Video Input Error

Overview

The VE140 analytic is designed to detect if video signal loss occurs.

Working Scenarios

It is a good idea to run the VE140 on all cameras. This analytic is environment independent.

VE140 Configuration Steps

1. Add the VE140 Cord Cut analytic to the camera(s) where you wish to detect signal loss (cord cut) events. See how to select analytics for more help.
    

2. No configuration is required for the VE140 from the Analytics Configuration tab.
    

3. Click Apply to save settings.
    

4. Create a Rule to alarm on signal loss events.

Create a Rule using VE140

Configuring the VE140 (see above) is required before creating a Rule that uses the VE140. To configure a Rule using the VE140, follow the steps below:

1. Open Server > Configuration > Rules and click New.
    

2. Select the camera
    

3. Pick the VE140 from the video engine combo box. No further configuration is required.
    

4. Click Next to continue to next step in Rule wizard.

• The VE140 requires minimal CPU
