The Server Instructions allows a site owner to specify address of site, multiple contacts, what constitutes an alarm, and what to do when an alarm occurs. This is especially useful when a third party is monitoring the site for the owner. This is where the monitoring station operator would go in order to assess whether an alarm is a false positive or not. To access the Server Instructions dialog, click Server > Configuration and then select the Instructions Pane under the Server Sub menu.
To modify the instructions, simply enter text in the text area and hit OK to save changes.
These instructions are visible after a user right clicks an alarm in the Alarm Log pane. If no instructions were specified in the Actions tab of the policy that caused the alarm, then these instructions will be displayed as default. Therefore what is entered here acts like default instructions for all Policies.
